What is

BodyTalk?

BodyTalk is a state of the art holistic body/mind medicine which utilizes the body’s own ability to self-heal.

This healing ability is part of the body’s natural inner intelligence or innate wisdom. It is this inner intelligence that guides the overall functioning of the bodymind complex, synchronizes all activities and maintains balance or homeostasis within the bodymind complex itself. The body contains all the information and all the abilities it needs to heal itself in the vast majority of cases. A BodyTalk practitioner simply helps set up the conditions in a balanced way for the body to heal itself.

By working with the bodymind innate intelligence, BodyTalk is able to take the whole person into account and addresses not only the body but the mind, emotions, environmental, hereditary and genetic factors affecting health. This facilitates shifts in health at all levels while accelerating personal development, wisdom and mindful awareness.

BodyTalk Principles

BodyTalk is based on the principle that the body is capable of diagnosing and healing itself at all levels. This natural, automatic self-guided healing comes from the body’s inborn intelligence or “Innate Wisdom”.

Stress profoundly interrupts the body’s ability to function and heal. Ongoing stress can overload the energy and communication channels that are needed to implement balancing and healing, causing various symptoms to arise physically and emotionally.

Innate wisdom functions through a myriad of communication channels that connects every part of the bodymind complex with itself. Stressed channels fail to communicate, limiting the ability of the body to balance and heal itself.

By re-establishing energy and communication channels, the body’s wisdom knows best how to locate obstructions and imbalances in the system and has the ability to repair itself in the correct order based on its own internal blueprint of healthy function. The result is natural and truly holistic healing that is designed by Nature itself.

What to Expect during your

BodyTalk Sessions

BodyTalk sessions are easy, safe and comfortably performed with the client fully clothed sitting either in a chair or laying down on a padded table. The length of the sessions can last anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes depending on what the client’s needs in that moment in time. The length of the session is not indicative of the quality or results that occur however. It often happens that the shortest session can extremely profound.

Intake – Background and Communication. A clients first session begins with the completion of a short intake form which covers health history, current health status, and intentions for outcomes from the session.

Treatment. Asking the body: The practitioner sits next to the client and using a neuromuscular biofeedback technique asks the body to isolate what areas, what channels within itself are compromised and in need of balancing.

Prioritized Linking. The body will reveal a series of items from multiple dimensions of itself that are prioritized, connected and creating the symptoms being addressed, much like an algorithm. Once these areas are identified any additional relevant details are added.

Gentle Tapping. Tapping on the body enables it to focus on resolving the issues causing the symptoms. Tapping is not a new methodology but has been used for centuries by indigenous and eastern medicine modalities like yoga, to signal the body’s intelligence. In BodyTalk, the practitioner taps over the three “brains” of the body: the head, the heart and the gut in order to assist the clients bodymind to implement, store and integrate the changes respectively.

BodyTalk is Cumulative. Because your body stores the changes made by the brain during the tapping process, this means that every formula that is corrected build on the one before. Your body retains the memory of the previous sessions in the heart and builds on it with each following session, thus building better and better communication within the system and maintaining greater and greater levels of health and wellbeing with each successive treatment.
